My research focuses on the disaster-causing mechanisms of high-stress, deeply incised river valleys in the southeastern Tibetan Plateau, with particular emphasis on the evolution of valley fractures driven by both external and internal geodynamic processes, including river incision and seismic disturbances. Specifically, this includes the automated interpretation of river valley fractures, multi-scale modeling of discrete fracture networks (DFN), and numerical simulations of river incision and seismic disturbances using the discrete element method (DEM).
